The eighth-ranked UCLA Gymnastics team will travel to Salt Lake City, Utah to compete at the NCAA Salt Lake Regional. Individual event specialists are Julia Konner of Sacramento State (vault), Katy Nogaki of UC Davis (vault and beam), Alexis Brown of UC Davis (bars), Cassie Benning of Sacramento State (bars and floor), and Stephanie Stamates of UC Davis (beam and floor).

The top two teams and the top two all-around competitors (who are not on an advancing team) from each regional will receive an automatic berth to the national championships in Fort Worth, Texas, April 15-16. In addition, the event winners at each regional will advance to the national championships (in that event only) if they are not part of a qualifying team or an all-around qualifier.

The Bruins will begin the regional meet on balance beam and have a bye in rotation two. Their competition will resume in rotation three on floor exercise, then vault, another bye and wrapping up on uneven bars. Utah State begins on vault, Utah starts on a bye before bars, Illinois begins on bars, Southern Utah is on a bye before floor, and Washington begins on floor.

This is the second time in three years that UCLA will be competing at a Regional with Utah. The two teams advanced together out of the Fayetteville Regional in 2014. The Bruins won the Columbus Regional in 2015.
